DM_Checkmate: A deathmatch level for Unreal Tournament 2004
Background Information
DM_Checkmate was my first level for UT2004, and was treated as a learning exercise. I used the map to learn the basic CSG, texturing and modelling techniques in UnrealEd, as well as importing and creating custom content in the engine. I also explored the use of cube maps and the very powerful shader system.

The map was originally designed as a trick jumping map, and despite its conversion over into a DeathMatch map, it retained a few of the more interesting jumps as necessary techniques for reaching powerups such as Double Damage and shields.
